You’ve got 1 day and the question, “Should I go to Copenhagen, Denmark?” comes up.
The answer? YES! You should absolutely spend 24 hours in Copenhagen.
Even in the winter!
Whether you’re traveling with friends, family, or you’re just getting away on a little solo trip. Or, if you’re a seasoned solo traveler; a fellow scaredy-cat traveler who doesn’t want to miss out, here’s how to spend the day!
TIPS FROM MY TRIP TO COPENHAGEN
- Almost everywhere took contactless payment. I never got cash out. However, if you like cash keep in mind they don’t use the Euro.
- They use the Danish Krone. (Keep in mind if you’re looking at the google conversion it might be slightly off. I noticed that it would be 1-2 pennies off from what I was charged.)
- English is widely spoken here, so no need to stress for the language barrier… but it’s always a good idea to learn the basics (Hello, Goodbye, Thank You etc.) when you travel.
- Pay attention to the weather before you go… probably a good idea, depending on the season, to pack a small umbrella so that you don’t end up buying a $20 one in a bind.
Telling you this from experience, hah! - Pack light, you’ll thank me later 🙂

No matter what you choose to do… take the time to marvel at this beautiful city. Take in the buildings, the sounds, take it all in.
Be in the moment, and enjoy.
If you have the opportunity to spend 24 hours in Copenhagen (or more) I can’t stress enough how much I think you should go. I had no idea what to expect when I picked Copenhagen, but it turned out to be one of the most unexpected delights.
Bon Voyage!
